About Project

Joseph Wheeler High School, home of the Wildcats, was founded in 1965 and is part of the Cobb County School System. PES are providing the design and details for a new 36,200 SF, two-story competition gymnasium and a 22,300 SF, one-story performing arts center to the existing campus. Both buildings consist of steel framing with infilled CMU and metal stud walls. The new gymnasium, which serves as a focal point not only for the school but for the community, will showcase the state champion basketball program and will hold approximately 3,000 spectators. The new Performing Arts Center will seat approximately 750 people and have a new Black Box Theater.
