Biography

Megan has always been interested in understanding how buildings come together and solving complex technical challenges. Structural engineering appealed to her as a way to combine analytical thinking with the opportunity to design safe, lasting structures that positively impact the communities they serve.

Originally from Amherst, New Hampshire, Megan attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Architectural Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, followed by a Master of Architecture. She first joined PES as an intern and was drawn to the firm’s diverse project experience, collaborative environment, and emphasis on learning. She quickly found a culture that encouraged curiosity and provided opportunities to contribute beyond a traditional entry-level role.

At PES, Megan contributes to structural design, engineering calculations, Revit modeling, and construction documentation while also helping develop internal tools and applications that streamline workflows and improve efficiency. She particularly enjoys combining engineering and technology to solve problems, automate repetitive tasks, and support more efficient project delivery. The variety of her work keeps her engaged, with each project presenting new opportunities to develop creative structural solutions, coordinate across disciplines, and expand her technical knowledge.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys rowing, hiking, spending time at the beach, baking, and being with family and friends. She also coaches rowing and teaches fitness classes, allowing her to stay active while giving back to activities that have positively influenced her life. Looking ahead, Megan plans to continue growing as an engineer, earn her Professional Engineer (PE) license, and expand her knowledge of emerging technologies within the design industry.
