Continuing Our Legacy of Leadership: PES Announces Transition from Michael Planer to Chad Forster as President

ATLANTA, GA – [December 17, 2025] — PES Structural Engineers is proud to announce a significant milestone in its ongoing story of growth and leadership. Chad Forster will assume the role of President effective January 1, 2026, succeeding Michael Planer, who will continue with the firm as a fully-engaged, active principal.

This leadership transition is the result of a thoughtful, long-term succession plan that ensures stability, continuity, and the ongoing strength of the firm. It represents not a change in direction, but a continuation of PES’s enduring commitment to excellence, collaboration, and the people who make it all possible.

“This transition reflects the strength and foresight of our leadership culture,” said Michael Planer. “Chad has been an integral part of PES’s success for many years. His leadership style embodies the same integrity, collaboration, and technical excellence that have always defined our firm. I’m excited to see PES continue to thrive under his guidance.”

Chad joined PES more than 21 years ago and has served in various leadership roles across project management, operations, and strategic planning. Known for his collaborative approach and deep technical expertise, Chad has helped advance PES’s commitment to innovation, mentorship, and engineering excellence.

“It’s an honor to continue leading alongside the exceptional team at PES,” said Chad Forster, incoming President. “Our success has always come from our people — their creativity, precision, and dedication to client partnerships. This transition continues our shared vision for sustainable growth and reinforces the values that have made PES strong for more than three decades.”

That commitment — to clarity, craftsmanship, and collaboration — continues to define every project, partnership, and innovation at the firm. With a leadership transition that maintains both experience and forward-thinking energy, PES remains firmly structured for success as it looks toward the next era of growth.

“Our clients, partners, and employees can expect the same stability, trust, and excellence that have always been at the core of who we are,” adds Planer.

Forster’s appointment ensures PES continues to advance its mission by bringing together technical mastery, innovative thinking, and strong relationships to deliver high-performing, resilient structures that stand the test of time.
