About Project
Named as one of the Best Clubhouses by Golf, Inc. magazine, TPC Sawgrass sits on over 415 acres in Ponte Vedra Beach, a suburb of Jacksonville. It was the first of several Tournament Players Clubs to be built, opening in 1980. PES provided design services beginning in 2005 for the new Clubhouse and the “perch” Turnstand Building in preparation for the next tournament, with construction beginning one week after the 2006 Tournament. Designed with an expedited schedule in mind, the Clubhouse and “Perch” were completed in just 13 months. The Clubhouse is 110,000 SF across three stories with golf cart storage on the lower level; a Pro Shop, locker rooms, and dining facilities on the main level; and event and gathering rooms on the upper level. The “Perch” is 4,000 SF across two stories and is home to the tournament broadcasting headquarters.
