Brian Adorno

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Brian’s interest in structural engineering was sparked by a formative experience—witnessing the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Returning home and observing the contrast between buildings that withstood the storm and those that did not, ignited a curiosity about building performance and resilience. That curiosity led him to pursue both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech.

With over 12 years of experience in structural engineering, Brian brings a deep commitment to thoughtful design, effective problem-solving, and clear communication. He has long admired PES for its strong culture and collaborative approach and was drawn to the firm’s shared values and forward-looking vision. He thrives in team environments where ideas are exchanged openly and client challenges are solved creatively. He is also an active member of various professional organizations, including AISC, ASCE, and SEAoG.

Outside the office, Brian enjoys working on home renovation projects — a passion that keeps him busy and, by his own admission, keeps his to-do list growing longer every week.
