Biography

Mikayla joined PES in 2016 and has become a key contributor to both project delivery and internal innovation. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, and is known for her exceptional attention to detail, which has been instrumental in achieving high-quality results on some of PES’s most technically complex and demanding projects.

As a Project Manager, Mikayla plays a critical role in transforming design concepts into fully realized structures—balancing creativity, constructability, and performance. She is also actively involved in enhancing internal processes and design standards to support continuous improvement across the firm.

Mikayla contributes to the broader engineering community through her involvement with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). She serves as a member of the ASCE Committee on Flood Resistant Design and as an Associate Member of the ASCE 7-28 Flood Load Subcommittee, where she helps shape national guidelines for resilient structural design in flood-prone areas.

Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, Mikayla now lives in East Atlanta with her husband, David, and their two dogs, Rock and Mac. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys cooking and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
