Biography
As a licensed structural engineer, Sarah has built a diverse portfolio that spans everything from ground-up hotels and senior living communities to industrial warehouses, renovations, and the occasional one-of-a-kind project that keeps things interesting. With a strong focus on essential facilities design, including fire stations, police stations, and other Risk Category IV structures, Sarah thrives on the variety and challenge each project brings.
Since joining PES, Sarah has embraced a dual role: serving both as a Project Manager and as the firm’s Operations Manager. She plays a key role in shaping internal processes, implementing standards, and leading recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts that help teams start strong—and stay strong. A passionate mentor, she also drives continuing education initiatives, helping engineers grow their skills and careers.
Outside of PES, Sarah is committed to elevating the structural engineering profession. She recently served as President of the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAOoG, 2024-25) and is actively involved with the Georgia Community of Practice of the Lean Construction Institute, advocating for industry collaboration and innovation.
When she’s not designing, mentoring, or streamlining workflows, you’ll find Sarah on the pickleball court, planning her next travel adventure, or diving into her passion for wine. A Level 2 WSET-certified wine enthusiast, she’s always happy to recommend a great bottle.
