PES provided the structural design of a 250,000 square foot, one-story aluminium cups manufacturing facility for Ball Corporation.

The structural system of the facility consisted of steel framing, steel bar joist roof framing with metal deck roof sheathing, reinforced slab-on-grade, and insulated metal panels supported on a shallow foundation system.

The project design included 225,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 25,000 square feet of warehouse space with 30’ clear height, roof supported process equipment and piping loads, a coil storage area with 12” thick minimum slab, and a 3,700 square foot mezzanine.
