PES recently provided the structural design of the new City Hall building for the city of Chamblee. The structural system for 27,000 square foot, three-story facility consists of steel framing, steel bar joist roof framing with metal deck roof sheathing, reinforced slab-on-grade, composite steel elevated floors with concrete slab, and exterior non-load bearing metal stud walls supported on shallow foundations. Features of the new City Hall include Council Chambers, a Community Room, Administrative Offices, Storage Rooms, and various office spaces for Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Economic Development, and Public Relations.
