PES recently provided the structural design for renovations to historic Myers Park Country Club, one of the oldest and most prestigious private organizations in Charlotte. The project included the partial demolition, renovation, and addition to the clubhouse. The existing structural system consisted steel framing with steel beams and joists with a concrete slab. A portion of the existing building was demolished to make way for the 16,400 square foot, two-story steel framed addition consisting of composite steel beams and slab with pre-engineered wood roof trusses. The remainder of the existing 36,700 square foot building was renovated.
