PES provided the structural design for the new, 42,000 square foot Recreation Center at Adams Park located just west of downtown Kennesaw. The structural system consisted of steel framing, steel bar joist roof framing with metal deck roof sheathing, reinforced slab-on-grade, steel bar joist elevated floors with metal form deck and concrete topping, and load-bearing exterior masonry wall panels supported on shallow foundations. The facility features three basketball courts, a walking track, two fitness rooms, a gymnastics center, and office space. Programs offered at the Recreation Center will include basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and more.
