PES is currently providing the structural design for Washingtonian North Senior Living, a new, seven-story senior living development located in the bustling Washington D.C. suburban market.

The project consists of 297 units featuring independent living, assisted living and memory-care units totaling 424,000 square feet housed in five to seven stories over two stories of parking. The parking level contains 191 spaces and totals 94,000 square feet.

The structural system of the entire facility consists of concrete framing with elevated post-tensioned slabs and infilled metal studs along with a slab-on-ground and shallow foundations bearing on aggregate piers.

The center will feature more than 30,000 square feet of dining space, along with activity areas, game rooms, bistros, and an indoor pool.
