Biography

Ryan joined PES in 2018 and has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to deliver innovative, efficient solutions across a wide range of structural engineering projects. His proactive mindset and collaborative approach have played a key role in driving successful outcomes for clients and design teams alike.

Originally drawn to construction, Ryan discovered his passion for structural engineering during a series of college internships. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2016, followed by a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from NC State University in 2019 through its Distance Learning program.

After graduating from Georgia Tech, Ryan began his career in Miami, where he gained specialized experience designing structures for high-velocity hurricane zones, sharpening his understanding of resilient design and wind performance. That foundation continues to shape his thoughtful, technically sound approach to engineering.

In addition to his project work, Ryan leads PES’s sustainability initiatives, championing low-carbon design strategies and helping the firm become a proud signatory of SE2050—a national coalition of structural engineers working toward net-zero embodied carbon by 2050.

A native of Atlanta, Ryan now lives in Smyrna with his wife, Tayler. Outside of work, he enjoys playing ice hockey and tennis, relaxing at the beach, and attending Braves games whenever possible.
