Alex joined PES in 2014 after earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. Since then, he has managed a wide variety of projects across sectors, including healthcare, senior living, industrial, religious, retail, hospitality, and higher education—working with structural systems ranging from concrete and steel to wood.

As a Project Manager, Alex leads projects from early design through construction, combining technical expertise with a collaborative approach. He is deeply involved in client coordination and is known for delivering well-executed designs that align with performance and constructability goals.

Beyond his project work, Alex plays a key role in shaping PES’s internal culture. He is an active member of the firm’s Culture and Engagement Committee, helping ensure PES continues to foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging work environment. He is also passionate about mentoring young engineers and spearheaded the development of PES’s popular “Night School” sessions, a cornerstone of the firm’s continuing education and professional development program.

Originally from South Carolina, Alex now lives in Atlanta’s Brookwood neighborhood with his husband, Otto, and their two dogs, Oscar and Ivy.
