PES provided structural design for additions and renovations to the existing Central Office for Cobb County Schools located on Glover Street. The project consisted of a new, 60,000 square foot, three-story office building and a 14,000 square foot, one-story connector with an elevated bridge. The structural system consisted of steel framing with elevated composite steel slabs, infilled metal stud and CMU walls, steel bar joist roof, and a slab-on-grade supported by shallow foundations. The existing building renovation consisted of the build-out of 45,720 SF over two stories along with new mechanical equipment, new cladding, the infill of two stairs, and the remodel of a third stair.
