Honors and Recognition

2021 CMAA-SAC Project Achievement Award Winner

Located on an 85-acre site in Paulding County, the new headquarters for GreyStone Power Corporation provides a central location for its service area and much-needed room to accommodate its daily operations. The project included a new Administration Building, an Operations and Engineering Building, a Vehicle Maintenance Building, and a Warehouse for field operations.

The Administration Building, which houses corporate services and a credit union, is a 96,000 square foot, three-story Class A office featuring conference rooms, board rooms, and additional office space. The Operations and Engineering Building serves as the home base for lineworkers and the company’s technical staff.

The O&E Building is a 41,000 square foot facility with tilt-up concrete walls and steel roofing and also contains GreyStone’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), a state-of-the-art network and communications hub. The Vehicle Maintenance Building is a pre-engineered metal structure clad with an insulated metal panel system. The Warehouse is the hub for field operations. It is a 51,000 square foot facility consisting of tilt-up concrete walls and steel roofing with storage racks in the center and a continuous loading dock wrapping three sides of the building. PES also designed the foundation for a 61,000 square foot canopy.

Designed by Smallwood and constructed by Choate Construction Company, the new campus supports the functions of the company as well as its role as an essential service provider to the counties of Paulding, Douglas, Fulton, Coweta, Cobb, Fayette, Carroll, and Bartow.
