PES provided the structural design of the new corporate headquarters for SMC³, which spans 80,000 square feet and features a three-story atrium, smart glass, acoustical metal decks to improve sound absorption, and extensive natural lighting. The structure utilizes steel framing, steel bar joist roof framing, metal deck roof sheathing, reinforced slab-on-grade, composite steel elevated floors, and exterior metal stud walls supported on shallow foundations. The new facility allows for sustainable growth and the development of innovative products for the logistics technology company.
