Learning By Design, Outstanding Project for 2022 in the Early Childhood/Elementary School Renovation/Adaptive Reuse/Restoration/Entire School/Campus Building category

PES provided the structural design of the new 12,025 square foot academic building for the University of North Georgia’s Blue Ridge Campus.

The structure at the office and classroom areas consisted of steel framing with non-load bearing metal stud exterior wall framing with both flexible and brittle finishes. Roof framing consisted of steel joist with metal roof deck.

The structure at the learning commons and exterior study area consisted of exposed heavy timber framing with tongue and groove roof deck.
