PES Announces New Promotions

PES Structural Engineers, Inc. (PES) is proud to share with you that the following individuals have been promoted:

Ryan Krusko, PE, SE

Ryan joined PES in 2018 and now serves as a Project Manager in our Atlanta office. With over 10 years of hands-on expertise, he has honed his technical abilities in designing and analyzing complex structures, ensuring their safety and efficiency. In addition to his technical expertise, Ryan possesses exceptional project management skills, making him a trusted and reliable leader. With a commitment to continuous improvement, he stays abreast of emerging industry trends and innovations. Ryan is a graduate of the 2022-2023 ACEC Georgia Future Leaders Program and is the champion of PES’s role in the SE2050 Commitment Program.

 

 

Rourk Marlow, PE

Rourk serves as an Assistant Project Manager in our Hartford office. He joined the firm in 2022. His project experience over the past seven years runs the gamut from industrial to multi-family housing to retail and all points in between. He is well-versed in cast-in-place concrete, steel, masonry, and wood. Rourk is a graduate of the University of Hartford and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Connecticut.

 

 

 

Tracy Bloch, MS, PE

Tracy also serves as an Assistant Project Manager in our Hartford office and has been at the firm since 2021. She has over 15 years of experience in the structural design of educational and municipal facilities, mixed-use developments and industrial facilities, and everything in between. Her expertise includes the design of structural systems requiring steel, timber, and concrete. Tracy is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and is also a registered professional engineer in Connecticut. She also serves as a member of the ASCE 11-28 Condition Assessment Committee.

 

 

Austin Lucas, EIT

Austin now serves as a Project Engineer in the Atlanta office. He began his career at PES in 2021 after graduating from Kennesaw State University. Since then, he has worked on a variety of projects including distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and specialty projects involving various structural systems including concrete, steel, and wood. When he is not working, Austin enjoys playing hockey, rugby, and fishing and wants to get into motorcycles.

 

 

 

Jennifer Brigante, EIT

Jennifer joined PES in 2021 and now serves as a Project Engineer. Originally from Woodbine, Maryland, she attended Clemson University where she graduated with her MS in Structural Engineering and received her BS in Civil Engineering. Since joining PES, JB has worked on a variety of projects including movie studios and sound stages, K-12 educational facilities, municipal facilities, and industrial facilities involving various structural systems including steel, timber, concrete, and masonry.

 

 

 

Mary Didier, EIT

Mary joined PES in 2021 after graduating with her BS in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and now serves as a Project Engineer. Mary first heard about PES during an info session on the Tech campus and reconnected with us after initially working in the construction industry following graduation. She was drawn to the industry because of the connection between infrastructure and community building. Since joining PES, Mary has worked on various projects ranging from municipal facilities to industrial developments to projects for the National Park Service involving a variety of structural systems. When she is not working, you can find her taking classes for her MS degree, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends (and pets).

 

 

Nancy Varughese, EIT

Nancy joined PES in 2021 and is now a Project Engineer in the Atlanta office. Born and raised in Dallas, she attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her BS in Architectural Engineering. She received her MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2019.
She has worked on a variety of projects since joining PES – multi-family housing, senior & assisted living, clubhouses for golf & country clubs, and municipal facilities. Her expertise includes the design of structural systems requiring timber, steel, and concrete.

 

 

 

Stephen Pettibone, EIT

Stephen knew PES was the place for him in the Spring of 2021 when faculty and students at KSU told him to look at the firm. He joined the firm in 2022 and is now a Project Engineer. His experience has included the design of financial institutions, industrial developments, golf clubhouses, and K-12 facilities involving steel, concrete, and wood. Stephen attended Kennesaw State University where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering and is currently finishing up his master’s degree in Structural Engineering online at The Citadel. When he’s not working, Stephen loves rock climbing and doing all things outdoors with his wife and young daughter, Iris.

 

 

Will Shirley, EIT

Will joined PES in 2022 and now serves as a Project Engineer. Originally from Marietta, he attended the University of Georgia where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering in 2020 and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering-Structural emphasis in 2021. Since joining the firm, he has worked on various projects including mixed-use developments, clubhouses, hospitality, and senior & assisted living involving a variety of structural systems including concrete, timber, and steel. He is actively involved in professional organizations including the Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAOG) and the Georgia Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), where he was recently named a member of the Board of Directors. When he is not working, he enjoys anything outdoors – hiking, camping, and mountain biking. He also enjoys jiu-jitsu, playing chess, and reading.
